More Humphreys Photos
This page contains newly a obtained photos of Joshua Humphreys and of Ravenscrag, the Saskatchewan town where Josh and Emma lived from 1910-1921 when they retired and moved back to Iowa until just before Josh's death in 1927. Also, there are photos of Ravenscrag as we saw it in 2006.

◄Joshua Humphreys in front of his general store in Ina, (Fayette Co.)Tennessee taken in 1901. Josh would have been 60 years old. The store signs advertise Peter's Shoes, Herb's Iron, Battle Ax Plug?, and one sign says, Offering Binders, Movers ?etc.
Below is a close-up of Josh from the same photo.▼

▲Above is just one example of a deserted home in Ravenscrag. I took several pictures of the deserted homes there as they looked to be survivors of the time when the Humphreys lived there.
Below is a photo of Ravenscrag as it looked in 2006. There were maybe10-20 residents and a farm machinery shop and garage which also appeared to service trucks and automobiles. The hills in the background are the "North Bench".

Looking east ▼between the north and south "Benches" of the Frenchman River and the road to East End.
Big Sky country , for sure.
Old buggy. ▼ Could this have used by Humphreys?
