◄The photo at the right was sent to me by "Bing" Humphreys who lives in Ontario, Canada, Jane Warren's great-grandson. The photo is a much damaged tintype but still the face remains clear for all to see. He could not identify the girl in the photo but when I first saw it I was struck by the resemblance to Jane Warren Humphreys, the same direct look, a similar nose and the set of the mouth. I would be willing to bet that this is Jane as a young girl or perhaps one of her daughters. If any reader of this page can lend any further light on this photo, please write me at:

me by Bing. Even though the photo is not very clear, I think you will see
the resemblance I am referring to. ▼
Another tintype below shows a couple who look like they are traveling. Bing tells me that this photo was marked as Dr. John and Jane in his old photo album. This is a real possibility as the gentleman has a long and sharply angled face as does Dr. John in another photo. This couple looks like they are dressed warmly for travel on the north seas to America and the man's hat and coat are slightly military in style as he spent many years as a ship's surgeon. The small picture in the middle is Dr. John and Jane clipped from a larger family photo that has been positively identified as the couple.
