Above is an unusual photo of Humphreys.  Shown from left to right is Annie Joy Bullock Humphreys (Fred's new wife, married in 1899), Frederick Lake Humphreys, (Joshua's eldest son), Emma Althea Humphreys, an unknown woman and Frank William Humphreys, Josh and Emma's youngest son.  This photo was given to me by my cousin Guin Barcelous and neither of us at that time knew who we were looking at until we started examining other family photos for comparison.  At first we thought that the young man on the right was Joshua himself but he is much too young for Joshua at this period of time. This is Frank (about 23 or 24) all "duded up " in probably the latest fashion of a young man in Tennessee and "feeling his oats" so to speak.  This photo was taken by a photographer from Nashville, Tennessee.  The question is, Where is Joshua for this important family photo? Is the unknown woman a relative or a servant?  This home is a fairly nice home for the period and location and has sturdy out buildings to boot.

Below is a notarized record of the births and marriage dates of the Bullock Family.  It shows the birth date and marriage date of Annie Joy Bullock.  Her father was Hon. Robert Sloan Bullock.  I do not know what the "Hon." connotes.  I do know that he was a Confederate veteran of the Civil War.  It appears that Fred married well.
